Wavelengths and Their Effects – aurosa LED Light Therapy (PBM)
With the aurosa LED Light Therapy Mask, you can choose between four wavelengths, selected based on clinical evidence and aligned with the latest scientific consensus. Together, these four wavelengths address the skin’s most essential biological needs: stimulation, soothing, balancing, and regeneration.
Red Light – 625 ±5 nm
Red light penetrates into the middle layer of the skin (the dermis), where it activates fibroblasts — the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, smoother skin with reduced fine lines and improved elasticity.
Effects:
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production
- Supports cell renewal and wound healing
- Increases ATP production in the skin’s mitochondria
Recommended for:
- Loss of firmness and fine lines
- Early signs of aging
- Dull or tired skin
- Regeneration after cosmetic treatments
Green Light – 515 ±5 nm
Green light has a calming and balancing effect on the skin. It helps reduce redness, irritation, and inflammation. Light within the green spectrum can also even out pigmentation and contribute to a more uniform skin tone.
Effects:
- Reduces inflammation and redness by regulating immune cell signaling
- Decreases overactive pigment production
- Soothes sensitive and stressed skin
Recommended for:
- Sensitive skin prone to redness
- Rosacea, eczema (dermatitis such as perioral dermatitis), and general irritation
- Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
- After sun exposure or chemical peels
Blue Light – 450 ±5 nm
Blue light works primarily in the upper layers of the skin and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
It calms acne-prone and blemished skin.
With regular use, blue light can help reduce sebum production and prevent new breakouts.
Effects:
- Inhibits acne-associated bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes) and Demodex
- Reduces inflammation and redness
- Calms surface irritation
- Improves the skin’s barrier function
Recommended for:
- Acne, impurities, and clogged pores
- Skin prone to inflammation
Red + Near-Infrared Light – 630 nm + 850 nm
The combination of red and near-infrared (NIR) light penetrates deeper into the tissue and supports vascular strength by stimulating blood vessels. NIR light enhances the effects of red light, boosting cellular metabolism and blood circulation in the deeper layers of the skin. This wavelength supports healing, reduces inflammation, and promotes overall skin vitality.
Effects:
- Increases ATP production in the deepest skin layers
- Stimulates blood circulation
- Reduces inflammation and swelling
Recommended for:
- Skin recovery and healing
- Inflammatoriske tilstande og sårheling
- Tab af spændstighed eller tør, stresset hud
When mitochondria absorb light—especially in the red and near-infrared spectrum—the enzyme cytochrome c oxidase is activated, playing a key role in cellular energy production. This process increases the formation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the cell’s energy molecule. With more ATP, skin cells gain the energy to repair tissue, produce collagen and elastin, strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce inflammation. Improved blood circulation further enhances oxygen and nutrient delivery to the tissue.
All wavelengths in the aurosa LED Light Therapy Mask are quality tested in Denmark for precision, safety, and irradiance (light power at the skin surface).
